Non Entières by Caitlin SchwartzSitting, resting
Unaware
The darkness comes,
Proliferates
and seeps into my skin
Elasticity:
stretches over my face
until I cannot
see.
Ebony and Midnight
cloud my senses
until I forget
my name.
Hurried streaks
Remain etched into
my soul.
The darkness begins
its retreat.
But I am left
Unwhole

| Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 02/11/15 at 04:58 PM I did not know Pierre Soulages and his works. Your poem comes alive after reading about his career and viewing some of his works. "Ebony and Midnight
cloud my senses
until I forget
my name." - these lines seem to exude his essence. Thank you. |
