Within Dreams

by Uriel Tovar

If to love would be the perfect action then this would be a perfect world—

I can see
The romance
In your eyes begin to
Drag down
Stars
As your gaze crosses mine
And our stares become
Picture perfect connections
Hoping these few seconds
Before sleep can become days
I know your mind
Thinks the same and I know
Your womb can bear my child and
I know our dreams can come
To that same
Sweet fruit
Listen
I can hear your breathing
Growing heavy and the
Rustling wind accompanies
Your silent
Lullaby
Holding you close and tight
As cool night ignites
In between our
Fevering bodies
I know your eyes will
Drag the stars into my life
I know we will become
The stars

I really the idea of dragging down stars. This is a smooth as silk and fiery all at once.
