Let's go back to two days ago
When the angry clouds rumbled
You asked me my favorite color
"Red" I giggled with glee.
Passionate, loving, living red.
"And yours?"
Purple.
The rich, brooding, and mysterious shade.
We share a cadence unlike any.
Sweet and sassy, serious and kidding,
understanding and arguing.
I want to tell you everything
all at once
the whole story.
Similarly I want to know everything
ask every question
memorize every detail.
But it doesn't work like that.
We are two people.
We have thoughts.
We have stories.
We have hearts
with bruises
with scars
Everything will be okay in time.
