Unrequited

by Uriel Tovar

I squeeze your hand
To try to melt our
Flesh into each others’
So you’ll know
The way my skin
Bumps
Remembering the scent
Of your freshly showered
Skin.

I leave imprints
On your neck
Every time I’m behind you
So you won’t easily
Forget
My hands on
Your waist.

I dig my nails
Deep into your
Arms
So you’ll know
How easily I can
Rip you
From my
Life.

Intense, and fantastically descriptive. Always a pleasure.
