The Black Christ

by Scott Utley

The Black Christ

Black Christ
obscurity dissolved
When the North Star
showed the way
Black skinned baby doll
came unto the future's
hope laced brawny chest
Red fan plumes from Marco Polo
routes. Frankincense and myrrh
Gifts of the Magi
Centuries pounded into pulp
The telling lies
of the white skinned devil men
Blue eyed Sharp jawed My brother
His brother
Yours One is as the other
Who was Mother?
But the Black eyed Full breasted,
Milked hard. Loved dearly.
Black hued. Wide hips.
Giver of life.
Mother of our savior.
The Holy Son with Black mind.
Bright light.
Shining throughout the world
for the world's salvation.
Little nappy headed boy.
Thick nose. Full lips.
Bright light. Full cup.
Black eyed. Red blood.
Black Man's joy.
Just a Black
faced little boy.

Great write so far Scott! I sometimes think it is a real shame that he wasn't born with technicolor skin. But then he would have been burned at the stake as a devil's misfit.
