post 3 by Uriel TovarI can see the shore
As my body sets sail
In this ocean
Swayed through a discourse of events
In this thick blue liquid
Which both holds us to
And pulls us further away from who we are.
Thick and foamy
The relentless waves
Shape us
Sharpening the colors
And smoothing the edges
We become whole
And are shuttled onto the beach.
We are admired
And flaunted by small hands
Cherished and adored.
Our glycerin skin blinding in the sun
For a moment
We are like gods.
Our short lived glory
Abruptly stopped
Launched into the waters from whence we came
Skipping on the top
Left to sink and drown on the bottom
Forgotten
Left only with memories.

| Posted by Laurie Blum on 05/23/12 at 03:24 PM It is life moments like these that are warm and inviting. You've made it so brilliantly colorful! I truely love when someone can paint a picture in my mind with words. |
