in the wake of a smile

I will not let these words be known
I will tie them to my ribs
bind them to my bones
My chest can heave
all it wants
I’ll be damned
and revel in the burn
as I swallow this scream
but fuck it
I will embrace its smothered-ness
i will soul-ly smile
and say
“God bless”

Very well put. A highly spiritual piece that I'm sure we all can relate to in our own way. I sure can.
