just your everyday nobody by Vikki Owensnothing spectacular,
just your everyday nobody,
lovelost hopeless,
abbreviated true-love,
just your run-of-the mill
somebody you once knew,
a imprinted pattern
on the fabric of your timespace,
lusterless knotch on your bedpost,
belted and punch-drunk
sleepless half-wit heart-struck
sunk former lover.
nothing worth noting,
just another annotated
abridged version of half a marriage,
half a lifetimes worth of legless
wide-eyed frantic dialing on your call-waiting.
nothing special,
just a dozen and a half dried roses
and a pathetic scrap of metal,
just your yesterdays nothing-of-consequence,
and the girl you used to know.

| Posted by George Hoerner on 02/02/12 at 12:24 AM Considering 7 billion people on this planet I suspect one could say that any one of is a nobody. Except for those few who have become leaders of their country, or who have beoome a music, sports, movie, etc. legend. But what is most important is how we see ourselves and not how others see us. It took me a lot years to realize that. |
