anadromous by Vivienne Grantit’s white not black
and cold not hot
whatever you say
i say it’s not
you mustn’t do that
why’s this not done?
that’s the wrong way
this is the one
we could go here
or we could move there
i want you with me
ag i don’t really care
you want to do what?
you’ve no ambition
i’ll go with you anywhere
but there’s one more condition
if only you’d follow me
blindly, and share
my contrary ideas,
plan b, and the spare
that’s brilliant! that’s awful,
what were you thinking
i’m with you 100%
wait, that’s shrinking
we’ll never agree
we don’t speak the same language
i speak Venutian
you talk Marsanguage
i am anadromous
you are an octopus
we’ve lasted this long and for that I am grateful
let’s let it go now before we get hateful
