Go west young man

by Timothy Wilson

dig me up
unearthed, I will travel
Root free
To the ends of the solar system
on a quest
The pursuit of Nirvana
The pilgrimage to nowhere
And everywhere
but mostly west bound
Geographical diversity will fill the crevices of these shoes
And when all ground is covered
fret not for my roots
but lay me upon the compost pile
For I have done with this realm
And await the next journey
I went west as a young man
And now a restless vagabond once more
