Ode to Tea
by Agnes Hallhands caress your sure blue ceramic
and indulge in the warmth of microwaved
comfort
fingers lace within the curve protrusion
which welcomes any gripping bond
slowly brought to the nose
and lingers
for a moment
as anyone with sensitivity
for the beautiful sensation of aroma
understands...
next to the lips and tipped, an acute angle
where at last the golden drops
of sultry sunshine
pour like bits of light
straight into the veins
and capillaries
into the heart
then ending in the soul
warming it like the
flickering embers of a bonfire
