Revolucion Arabica by Scott UtleyThe Arab world has real cause to suspect the U.S. of a dark collusion with the very people
who are the philosophical antithesis of its constitution's guiding principles. If you get
the government you deserve, I guess I'm guilty too. I'm losing Face Book friends in the
Middle-East because our elected officials will not be sued to get their acts together and
our story straight. History will be lost on us because we have lost the story of just what
it is that makes us human in the first place! It is an insidious emotional genocide;
America's virtual genocide against its very own people, made the more stunning because
mega-byte wounds never heal. Even faced with the truth of coming face to face with a
mirror which will not lie, I have an unconquerable and unbridled enthusiasm in the notion
of hope. Many among us struggle to keep a balance between shame and pride, but we remember
we are not perfects beings, wherever we trod. The story of America's history is deeply
etched by immense gifts of its creative and resilient trail-blazers. Generousness and
compassionate souls make up 99% of the new silent majority. Knowing this leads me to the
source of a unique, (but not limited to) American mass-conscious characteristic of blind
faith in the inherent goodness of all men. It is time to bring the narrative of division
to bed. Life is short but terribly eternal. 11/25/2011 Posted on 11/25/2011 Copyright © 2025 Scott Utley
