The word melancholy
Is not in general usage
Anymore
Did you notice?
Some people were once described
As melancholics
Today it is a disorder
To be treated,
Yet melancholics
Had a view of the world
That might have rung true,
In effect
Another example
Of truth not valued today
As it may have
Once been.
