No words

by Agnes Hall

There are no words in which to fully understand
the overwhelming and all encompassing love
which crashes over me in the spontaneous moments
in which I remember that I love you.
It breaks my heart wide open;
not in agony or pain where only darkness is revealed,
but rather
to make room for the breathtaking wildflower blossoming
right in its center,
showered only with the purest ocean water
found on the most exotic beaches.
I'm left reeling and dizzy and punch drunk
in these moments.
When it's gone
only a faint buzzing is left
to warm the tips of my fingers and toes,
lulling them into the security and comfort of contentment.

And you said there were none, but you found some. =)
