the tongue does not know what the body does by Vikki Owensthe body is burning
the heart is becoming a bottleneck
it murmurs with the doppler effect
of trains moving at the speed of flame,
the eyes have become windowpanes,
draw the shades like hammerblows,
and theres a candle on this windowsill
to scare away the ghosts.
the tongue does not know what the body does,
the scaffold moves without the soul
fingers touch what the mouth wont kiss
and wont ever speak of it. 05/14/2011 Posted on 05/15/2011 Copyright © 2025 Vikki Owens
