Undone by Alisa Jsthere was a time
when we reached in our pockets
and pulled out a mouthful of smiles,
filled with anything
but this.
when laughter hides in hallways dark
behind closed doors
in some other place,
across the fence
two houses down,
as lingering melodies of love
now blame,
when fun moves to an outer horizon
and begins to feel so far away
voices filter
vaguely familiar
and quiet is all that remains,
do the visions die, too?
or have they just begun
this darker chapter,
undone... 04/01/2010 Posted on 04/01/2010 Copyright © 2025 Alisa Js

| Posted by George Hoerner on 04/02/10 at 01:27 AM I like this a lot Alisa. It has a very intriguing tone to it that I can't quite put my finger on. I do believe that darkness and light play the same role as good and evil. It seems to me incongruous that one can exist without the other. |
