When I'm Looking At Your Back, Words Are All I Have

by Genevieve Sturrock

i want to write
really, i do
but my words are
all about me
while my thoughts are
all about you

i weary of writing
i, me, my, mine
it's all so dramatic
when really,i'm fine

so why do i hover
with paper and pen
a thousand conclusions
no way to begin

the chasm between us
space, distance and time
can't be erased with
words, rythm and rhyme

still

i want to write
really, i do
but my words are
all about me
while my thoughts are
all about you

Yes; you nailed this. If all you have are words; you used them well. GREAT job!
