Got faith? by Christine ThibeaultDusky and gray,
for this one pound angel I pray and pray.
The dusky seems to linger as I repetitively give
her breaths...finally she pinks
and my heart starts to rest.
Here far too soon,
the odds are pretty slim...
there is a light of hope that guides me...
I will not let it dim.
Such a grand name for such a tiny girl,
Lord please bless this mothers precious pearl.
She looks to you for a miracle...in you she has much faith,
with your healing hands embrace her...the odds you can erase.
Please help us care for her...such tiny tots have survived before,
I know I am asking for much...and yet I will ask for more.
Please protect this little darling,
and guide her with your love...
you the most high can do anything...
she is not yet ready for your kindgom above.

| Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 03/19/10 at 01:06 AM I think this would make an excellent prayer to be read while a child undergoes Baptism...if you're Catholic like me at least. Though it could just as easily be employed with any other religion's similar ceremony. Definitely a thought provoking spiritual piece. |
