Acantha

by Kim Thevenot

I feel your weakness creeping into my bones
A jealously that shivers with awkward pleasure
Kissing away morals in place of ideals
pushing away soft lilies,
hoping to make the way clear
For a return so bittersweet....
it cannot happen

How I do miss feeling at home

there is a quality to this ode that appeals and awakens many senses. and that opening line most of all.
