Lily Cate by Timothy WilsonWhat beauty is behind the wall?
Of apples shape and sparkling eyes glisten
How small is she?
How large?
-The beautiful silent lamb
Not sheepish,
Far from naïve in nature
Just innocent with Patch of black hay
With the cherry red chuckles
Mumbling the audible endearment to her uncle
When reaching out -
She hugs my finger with her hands
And my heart melts
Someone told me:
“You treat her like she’s your own.”
I said she is my own. She’s my own niece
Uncle’s here for Lily Cate
