one thousand word explanation by Timothy WilsonFlipping flopping
Next turn I hope for a bigger smile
She’s always beside me
In life and as proof in everyone of these captured still frames
That illustrates life in its momentary sequential beauty
I skip a few
Once more she’s outshined me
The fact that her smile can light my darkened world
Gives way and becomes a poster child for the backbone of our truth
Simplified: we complement each other
Polar opposites can wage epic argumentative wars
I often feel warn and defeated
But every time I reach for the white flag
We embrace our differences and fall into arm lock
And in the end
Our alliance is our strength proven time after time
Much like the photos elaborating our story
Flipping with near -arrogant confidence
Viewing a thousand words
And understanding who and what we are

| Posted by Glenn Currier on 10/06/09 at 06:01 AM I was caught up in the conflict in the first part of the poem, but fascinated with the mutuality, embracing, and appreciation in the last part. Good poem about the vagaries of relationship. Thanks. |

Much like the photos elaborating our story" - I enjoy the use of the photo album in this - "That illustrates life in its momentary sequential beauty". Thank you. |
| Posted by Ava Blu on 10/06/09 at 07:44 PM do we really ever understand who/what we are? is it only in the souls of others that we do? when we begin to let love inside us, feel our heart beat with another's rhythm.... much to ponder.... |
