Where is by Greg WilliamsTrampled it all,
buried it down,
pondered for a moment,
where was my god now?
Feelings considered,
had set them aside,
funny how they got up,
ran off to hide.
Sky sets above,
rain coming down,
considering again,
where was my god now?
Surrounded on all sides,
strolling through the cold and the ice,
had made it here somehow,
still though I wondered,
where was my god now?
What had become,
it was silent,
there was none,
I had never quite found him,
but the feeling is so lonesome.
The rain had stopped so suddenly,
sky turned to blue,
sound of the birds chirping,
my god had become new. 06/22/2009 Posted on 06/22/2009 Copyright © 2025 Greg Williams

| Posted by Jo Halliday on 06/23/09 at 04:11 AM I like the form of this poem; I don't know why I tasted a little derisiveness, though I don't think you intentioned it, at least I don't know if you did or did not, in it, mainly because of the form and the breaks. Overall, this sub-taste put me off, yet I liked the thought-train your poem provoked. |
