there was a gasp in the heavens
as I lingered
for just a moment longer,
the silence was staggering
quiet,
surreal.
I wondered
and walked on
alone,
lost in my thoughts
raging,
blaming.
how could I have gotten it wrong?
silly me.
no harmonies here
as the melody was really B flat
when I thought all along
I was in the key of C,
am I not worthy, somehow?
guess I was mistaken
tone deaf,
