Recognized Nonsense by Alisa Js
it was completely unexpected
the knockdown.
the slap,
kicked to the end of the line
as if it never was. odd.
all this time I trusted in
really believed,
put my heart in the strength of that line
only to see it fade away
like teardrops in the sun
there are words and phrases for times like these
we can and do regurgitate them
like the brainwashed pied pipers
we've become.
falling for anything spewed from clean suits
and smelling nice,
shhhhh~
do you hear that?
nothing but nonsense,
running around like fools
we might as well be pigs,
for all the good that it does 06/08/2009 Posted on 06/09/2009 Copyright © 2025 Alisa Js
