Gelly bracelettes and Silverball necklaces need to come back

by Timothy Wilson

I remember strateling the line held hight above the earth
A line deviding boys from men
But by the time I fell off
I still landed in the dead center
I hated the things considered cool
because they would fade in a month
like the relationships of the popular kids
And I would be stuck with a closet full of relics
To remeniss with my most dysfunctional of femal compainions
My favorite thing to laugh at was how "original"
We said we were while dressing in the same
fashions
True rebelion I knew was on the inside
but we all dressed in uniform
Waking up each day with the intention to distract the class
to scream louder for attention
with our heads hanging low
I felt like I started the missery fad allthough sure that it was born in california
The suniest place I know
Probably a game to avoid the weather
wearing black and staying away from the beach on every corner of town
The rebelion gathered as a majority
IN the most crouded store of the most popular hangout
Starbucks was grouded with angry mall security
and across the hall
Through the arches and fake brick
conformity was flourishing
I kind of miss it...

...an ode to youth that many of us, regardless of generation, can relate to...well done...

Long gone days, eh? You certainly don't seem to have any trouble with memory or bringing those memories to life.
