Shallow by Genevieve Sturrocki don't want to see you
in the naked light of day
i so enjoy this vision
you spent hours to perfect
don't tell me your
opinions of the world
your depths are unknown
and i'd rather play in the
bouyant surface of your thoughts
don't ask me questions
i won't share myself
a snappy comeback and
a smile are all i have to offer
i know you think
i am beautiful
let's just leave
it that way
intimacy is overrated
as we are just
too shallow to
handle the
reality of
our humanity 04/01/2009 Author's Note: sometimes getting to know someone is such a disappointment
