Full Circle by Alisa Jsand if the minds were capsized
below their will to return
would you venture nearer, still?
in full knowledge that those fractured souls
those masses led astray,
lay dying by the landslide
by false and blinding spies,
spoon fed
gagged tight
by those lying falsifiers who led the way
toward certain never endings
would you stretch
beyond your comfort zone
to help another in desperate need?
or simply turn away
no time for failure here
as you've too much to do,
and can't be bothered by the likes of those
downtrodden,
misfits
outcasts
and what if it were you?
now in need of a helping plan
to understand the pain you're in,
this plight you've found yourself landing on,
would you call a trusted friend?
or, do you have no friends
would they all run if they heard your voice
or tell me, would they stay
and venture still?

| Posted by George Hoerner on 03/30/09 at 12:41 PM I enjoyed this lady. I suppose that going out of our "comfort zone" is far more important to realizing our human potential than most people understand, myself included. What I call "the other" can be really difficult to deal with because our fear can run so deep. Nicely done Alisa. |
