Springtime Synchronicity

by Alisa Js

I watched as they spoke between quick glances behind
oblivious,
I stood there, listening
most engaging for sure, were the details
one with the other,
of some previous evening's event.
laughing out loud as they both remembered
and shared,
promising never to forget ...

memories,
how precious they are
a snapshot of space
seared,
as a treasure inside one's mind

I was home, thinking of someone
waiting to hear a word,
checking to see just one more time
and
wondering if he,
was there.
was he thinking of me?

and wouldn't you know the most amazing thing
happened.
while I was checking,
he was calling
how could that be?
unless of course
we factor in destiny,
universal design of the magnificent kind ...

I like that last stanza. It's nice, crisp and perfectly in its intentions.
