Hero

by Timothy Wilson

His bravery is still showing
While he awaits the enevidable
A man who's seen so much
A man who speaks so little

I think I've seen him sitting
Waiting and watching
The days go by
unhappy with his old friend time
And still the smile is there

my smile is fading
while he thinks of his old love
his life
And my sympathy gland is swollen

And now He leaves the porch
Walks into a dream
And vaporises into memory
Don't go

His posthumous bravery lives on
while he waits for us to join him
The pain it hurts so much
our hearts can hold so little
And still the smile there

I can't think of one negative thing to say- I can tell that you put your heart and soul into it. It's wonderful!
