Would We?

by Alisa Js

would we tell ourselves just one more time
if we found that key
that opened new doors,
or walk away
discouraged,
from even attempting
to see,
if in fact this key fits?
we could investigate the lock
check out the door knob
or take that chance
and press ...

there are reasons and rhymes
to almost everything,
cycles of fair and unobstructed bliss
tempered with dark clouds
that mist, but still
can't we try?

what if this door was the ultimate door
leading to that pathway
we always dreamed of,
wrote about
needed so desperately,
to make some sense of it all
our life,
our love
our forever ...

and now, in our hands
this key,
with trembling hearts would we dare
step forward in faith
or turn away in doubt,
what is the best answer here?
if the answer were obvious
the rewards, delirious
the manifestation
glorious,

would we?

I'm all about some delirious. It's delicious. Enjoyed this.

It's fun to get lost sometimes, eh? Nice.

Is it not all part of the 'quest'? With all the doubts, mis-steps, and turns along the path. We hope beyond hope than maybe this time the quest is over. But it truly never is finished; it is one on the things that does go on forever.
