Effervescence by Alisa Jscould it be?
us.
you and me
here like this,
across great improbabilities, for sure
and yet,
we are here …
for the first time in a very long time
tasting such exuberance,
like bubbles to the shore and more
we would be remiss
if we let this joy
slip,
into the shadow’s lingering doubts
and cries of yesterday’s regrets,
rolling over discouraged dubiousness
of all those reasons that never made much sense,
anyway …
you fill my soul with such excitement
I swear!
I could float across the seas
jump beyond the moon
with this buoyancy,
every time we speak my spirit soars
and I have no further need.
as you bring to me this
excitedness,
I am so amazed and more …

| Posted by George Hoerner on 03/16/09 at 01:37 PM I love it Alisa, especially the line "across great improbabilities". It grabs the mathematician in me. Very nice! |
| Posted by Sandy M. Humphrey on 03/16/09 at 05:59 PM It has joy, fizz, the excuberance of the title all the way through. smh |
