The Pinnacle by Alisa JsI have found myself standing there
overwhelmed on one hand
and yet, persisted.
to peer beyond the great mystery,
to lift the veil
that separates
the now from then
the here from when ...
on the apex of the conscious mind
are we clear?
and can we find the answers
that beg
to be discovered,
if we press
a little farther
along the recesses that hide
the obvious,
if we are but willing to receive
how many times have you almost guessed
but then walked away,
defeated.
had you tried just one more time
the answer was there
waiting,
anticipating ...
why slide back
to normalcy
when the epitome of all things great
was waiting,
just beyond our reach
just beyond that extra step
we never seemed to take,
and so we walk the fields of disrepair
blinded by the very thing
that promised us
everything,
that great beginning no longer hesitates
so why, oh why
should we?
