The Laughter of Your Smile

by Alisa Js

if I could have just one wish
the only one for me
would it match the one you gave
across the winds
and released
beneath the troubled seas,
on that day we'll never have
to discuss our choices made

and now our time
remains, if only in my mind
for you torched my soul
I felt your flame
every time you ventured near,
impossible I know
that's what they all would say
improbable for sure
and yet,
this remains our mystery ...

among the many I have known
and there have been a few
none compared,
they wouldn't dare
for none of them were you

as I sit alone in this vacant land
of endless possibilities
scorched by reason's
serious styles,
I will remember
always remember,
the laughter of your smile ...

Good write Alisa, it must have been an electrifying smile promising so much and now left with memories to savor.
