On a Bad Day by Kerowyn RoseThis body is inside-out eyes,
gibbous proportions,
ubiquitous exaggeration,
Jabba jowls,
cystic breasts,
pasty, ashy, dune-like skin.
It has obscured pulchritude
buried in flesh and pain
- electric pain.
A sluggard breathing,
prodigious clammy blob,
betrayer, silent enemy, exhausted,
reaching for the arms of death
without a thought for what I want.
