In Memorium

by Genevieve Sturrock

three blonde heads
framed in flowers
candle lit and
bowed in prayer

arms clasped tightly
round each other
mourning wife
and missing mother

02/19/2009

Author's Note: she was younger than me and her sons' hair is the exact same shade as my own little man's...i simply cannot stop crying at the sight.

...genevieve, what a whopper, very well done in such a tight[warm]package, one of those i thank you for--the grist-mill churns with pathos...hurtful but so well said, touche!

I agree with Charlie. Short but powerful capture, even if I'm not familair with the story behind it.

I'm sorry for our pain. Very well expressed.
