No Words by Alisa Jsmy friends tell me
it was just for fun,
for how could you have been serious
in what you said,
they tell me to leave it alone
there's nothing to ponder
nothing to dwell on
and yet,
I can't seem to forget ...
as I sit near the shoreline
watching,
remembering your words
the laughter we shared
during that hiccup in time,
where we'll live forever
inside that memory,
and no one
can take that away
if it was only for fun
then call me a fool
for believing,
in the words we spoke
in the joy we shared
in the laughter that came so easily
I must be deaf, dumb and blind ...

| Posted by Joan Serratelli on 02/17/09 at 04:27 PM I really like the entire poem. Sad, but bittersweet. A wonderful read. |
