Forever Blue

could we have reached that dream
the one we both saw
and once believed,
it matters not now as the hand's been dealt
joker's wild,
seasons of love and endless romance
gone in a flash
along with that second chance,
it is what it is ...
I will think of you and smile
with every thought that happens by
on those days when these skies remind
and my heart hangs heavy,
inside
my mind reaches to remember
the laughs we shared
those moments now treasures,
wrapped in tears
forever blue,
missing you ...
