Lonely Road

by Anastasia Shows

Walking down the lonely road,
I'm seeing faces and stories untold.
I travel by foot all day,
But i'm trapped in my thoughts the whole way.
I'm scared by what i see!
Is that the devil looking back at me?

I guess it all depends on the point of view,
looking at the world as a pessimist; everyones a loose screw.
Well you can just take it from me,
walking down this lonely road sure isn't easy.

I'm all in the world of of the paranoid.
I take pleasure living in the void.
I cross the street just to avoid a stranger.
I don't even know if there's any danger.

(chorus)

Passing by a lost soul on the way,
never know just exactly what to say.
Drop a quarter in the poor man's hat,
and nearly step on a road kill cat.

(chorus)
