Inevitable Forecast by Terry OlynikIn theory,
The wind blows
From every compass point,
North to south.
Simple meteorological theory,
From areas of high air pressure
To areas of low air pressure,
Messing up your hair.
And yet...
When I leave my bar,
Through the back exit
Into the damp alley way,
The wind blow me back to you.
When I take a shortcut,
Across the baseball diamond
Towards the highway,
The wind blows me back to you.
When I exit my apartment building,
After picking up my mail
In the dim foyer,
The wind blows me back to you.
When I'm alone at night,
With my ice cubes and my thoughts
Convinced of our incompatibility,
The wind
Blows me back.
To
You.

Ms. Dooley speaks my very thoughts:

| Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 01/31/09 at 04:03 PM Excellent combination of romance and weather Terry. Worked really well for me, as I can relate on a personal level to the message. |
