the antidote was worthless
refusing to counteract the obvious
beyond the bane of nothing else
than faulty lies,
her heart remained by open doors
negating other’s wiles,
for she was sure
this was not to be undone

when asked for reasons
all she could do was grin,
as how can one explain
the mysteries of a friend …

some examples call for faith
and nothing more,
believe and set the darkness free
believe and see
the vision come alive before your very eyes
from corners of the earth unseen
a miracle from on-high,
brought about by angel’s wings
ushered in through heaven’s gate,
the answer to an unspoken prayer
now reality alive

and how did destiny step right in
and find this friend
called by you before the dawn of time,
some mysteries shall remain
in that great refrain,
for another time ...
