How to Know by Alisa Jsthere may be no other way to explain
why these harps and violins break
each time the music attempts
this solitary note
when the opposite should be true,
how to know
when the end draws near
do the birds fly in opposite directions
or does the horizon begin to sink
and not swim
like the fish in stormy seas
churning those buttercup hues .
why all this grasping
for any hint of recognition
is it because
I am falling inside myself
each day lower
than before
fading in front of the sadness
that no body sees ... 01/08/2009 Posted on 01/09/2009 Copyright © 2025 Alisa Js
