My Library Visit by John NivelBrowsing a bookshelf
Finding a book
Skimming the pages
For a quick look,
On with the browsing
For book number two
That may be better
Than the first
I did view,
Then I have two books
Clasped to my side
In this aisle
I seem to reside,
Focussing my eyes
To read titles quickly
I wonder about the books
That sit there so thickly,
Then I see a book so thin
I could read it in a day
Or within,
Now I take my books to a table
To make sure
My reading pleasure
They will enable,
Finally I wait in line
To borrow these books
Not mine,
While my library visit has ended
My mundane world
These books have transcended.
