The End of the Day

by David Garner

air tube.
to heal.
no way to nap.

I am a divergent thinker,
unsuccessful at meditation.

Pillow love.
Art love.

surgery and a film career.

air tube.
pinches.
cartagropher's dimensions.

to say, "I did it!"
at the end of the day.

Interesting how the air tube goes through this day. The essential I think. And it's what we come to in the end- but we need to take a (last even) breath to do it. That sense of having gotten through the day (in a good way) does come through here. Even if it's been uncomfortable.
