piggies by Mary Frances Spencerdown jones
all 500 have gone south
bears cant find any ice to stand on
bulls choking in dusty
foreclosed fields
green is in the red
blue faces cant breathe
underwater
treasure
lost
so all the kings
and us pawns
have to put Humpty Dumpty
back on the
wall
before the pieces
of the last eight years
break the camels
and squeeze the piggies
who cry
all the way
home
10/10/2008 Author's Note: I am just sickened by the avarice and greed of the policies of the last 8 years. It has finally caught up with all of us unsuspecting civilians...and our children are going to have to pay for it...enough said.

| Posted by Kathleen Wilson on 10/14/08 at 05:21 AM excellent playfulness with serious undertones and overtones. I love "green is in the red"! |
| Posted by Morgan D Hafele on 04/01/09 at 04:55 PM well said! so far our new administration looks like it's taking the right steps to fix, at least some things, but we've still a long way to go. |
