Living Decided?

by Alisa Js

Your path and my path was more than likely not destined to be
Even though, I remember when
In all our innocence and brazenness
We'd run though those thoughts
Laughing out loud
To anyone and no one,
It mattered not, as we had each other
And each other was all that life was made of
No more and no less …

Such a long ago distant scene
Fading to vague and tattered remains
A tragedy of the highest magnitude,
Those hours and moments
Passed into hymnals of
Off the charts bliss,
Unscheduled great chances
At anything that skated near magical,
Mystical
Amazing
Life changing …

Slap to the present where everything is seen
Carefully scheduled and planned,
No surprises.
Follow the rules
Whatever happened to real living?
Whatever happened to the promise of something, besides …

Great title to contemplate the contents here. I like the idea of unscheduled magic.
