Where

by Alisa Js

I want to run to you
back in your arms of comfort and dare
safe in the knowledge, secure in the scene
keeping me away from
long imagined dangers and vivid night screams

why am I out here, alone
where are you now, that I needed to be
where did the bus stop and I didn't,
when did the doors close
on me

is this just a scene from a long ago dream
I kept somehow and remembered
or is this the space where no answers go
layered between,
heart beats dwindle while the days slow
as I become mired by the fade ...

Nice write lady. The eternal question! Why don't you love me the way I love you?! Almost as if we live parallel lives veering enough to touch on ocassion with just enough interaction to make us believe it is possible. I had it once for such a short time. I've never touched a hand like that before or after. Just walking was a thrill of a lifetime.
