something to write about
to ponder and probe
to exercise my mind
as i go about my day

washing clothes
and sweeping dog hair
listening to my son
as he talks and plays

messing with glue
and paper mache
hammering copper
and sewing up seams

reading epic novels
and petting the cat
keep me busy
but not as much as it seems
