painting

by Mary Frances Spencer

i dip
into the bucket
splatter ideas
all over the walls

fresh colors pulse
illusion and light
this room breathes
as i roll it on

i paint these poems
like doors
soon to be opened

by you

Author's Note: We are having some rooms painted in our house...I find that paint can be very transformative and was inspired to write this! MFS

I JUST painted my walls too! It does make you feel renewed and refreshed...Hmmm just like the walls. I love the way this occurs when writing too. The last stanza says it all!

Make every wall a canvas, have at it....then paint your rooms, or leave the art, for arts sake! Delighted. Thanks.

i felt and thought this very way a few weeks ago as I repainted...and you've re-evoked the same sensation. nice!
