I'm O.K. by Alicia VannProfound in its profundity
dirty
thoughtless
Like taking your shirt off after a soccer win
just to prove you are not like them
--Taking a shower with bloody clothes on
to wash away the colors of guilt
Taking no moment of pleasure
in sticking it to the man
because
You are the man
The man is he who sells
his soul
at cheaper than the going rate
to hasten property
or belonging-s
is as guilty as the man
who sells his soul
for less
for money
Green
Take it down
you are mezmerized
in sin for saintly sake
but do you prove the simplistic
hate of man
or something more relevant-
less interesting
There is fault on the lying
for the sake of truth
One of ten---
At least
a commandement breaker
Who are you thumbing your nose at
who makes sense of nonsense
and lives in metaphor
versus simile
If I am better for having known you
at the cost of cheapening
yourself
Who wins
Entertainment Tonight
Thus your errors become calamity
and the egg if forever left on your
face
Intelligence
at the expense of reality
is an experiment
in arrogance
And it hinges on one simple untrue
assumption
That your life matters to people
who are not as smart as you
and who don't
matter
even to you
unless
they are gifted
in being
condemned. 03/16/2008 Author's Note: Critique this. Rip it apart. I can. I crave feedback and analysis. It's not there. Help me find my truth by not being nice....

| Posted by George Hoerner on 02/06/17 at 05:41 PM At some point in life most of us are willing to sell our soul for little just gain something. Some times it is a little love or a promotion or friendship. Few if any of us are perfect and some are far whose than others. I certainly include myself in this group as well. Nice write. |
