solar eclipse

by Mary Frances Spencer

sun shadowed
moon tonight

clouds parted curtains
peeling away
bitter rind
leaving sweet
tangy
crisp orange floating
in purple sky

at this moment
time and space
radiate soft
steady

answers
intention
powerful vitamin

Author's Note: Did you check out the gorgeous eclipse tonight? Amazing energies... MFS

It was too hazy here to get a good look. Stanza 2 is delightful and I really like the play on words at the end.

Nice write! I was walking the dogs about 9 last night and saw it quite well here in Star Valley WY. The slight haze gave it a mystical look. It was about 90% when I saw it.

I got to see it and it is always so amazing. It's definitely the sort of thing that can inspire a writer. Your second stanza is beautifully written. I really like the imagery.
